Engine 7


2008 Sutphen Marauder

This is a 1500 GPM pumpr with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 35 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in station 7 on James Island. The Co. was formed in 1882 and served on Cannon st. until 1986, when it was moved to James Island.

 
 
Ladder 1


2006 Sutphen

This rig is a 104' straight mid mount stick. It is housed in station 18 on Daniel Island.

 
 
Engine 2


2005 Pierce Dash

Engine 2 is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in Cental station at 262 Meeting St. Downtown. Central Station was built in 1887. Engine Co. 2 was established in 1882.

 
 
Ladder 5


2004 Sutphen 100' Tower Ladder

This Tower has 2 2.5 inch nozzles at the bucket. It has a full compliment of truck tools, RIT equipment and carries Hurst tools and airbags. It is housed at station 10 in West Ashley.This unit was called to the Sofa Super Store fire in 2007. None of the crew returned home in it that night.

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. ext. ladder. It is housed in station 9 in the neck area of the Charleston peninsula.

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. ext. ladder. It is housed in station 18 on Daniel Island.

 
 
Engine 19


2000 Pierce Dash

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in the new station that was opened in 2007. This unit was called to the Sofa Super Store fire in 2007. None of the crew returned home in it that night.

1999 Pierce Dash

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 35 ft. Extension ladder. It is housed in station 11 on Savannah Hwy., West Ashley.

 
 
Engine 13


1997 E-One Hurricane

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft extension ladder. It is housed in Station 13 on James Island. The Co. was established in 1974.

 
 
Engine 10


1996 E-One Hurricane

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in station 10. The Co. was established in 1960.(the photo was taken while the rig was parked at station 13.

 
 
Engine 16


1994 E-One Cyclone

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in station 16 in West Ashley. The Co. was formed in 1984.This unit was called to the Sofa Super Store fire in 2007. Two members of the crew did not return home that night.

1994 E-One Hurricane

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 24 ft. ext. ladder. It is housed in Central Station on Meeting st. The co. was founded in 1882.

 
 
Engine 15


1989 Pierce Dash

This is a 1500 GPM pumper with a 750 gallon tank. It has a 28 ft extension ladder. It is housed in station 15 on Coming st., Midtown Charleston. It is the busiest Co. in the city, tasked with fire protection for all of the hospitals on the peninsula, inclusing MUSC. The Co. was formed in 1978 and originally served in the neck area. This unit was called to the Sofa Super Store fire in 2007. Captain Louis Mulkey did not return home that night.

 
 
Engine 8


1989 Pierce Arrow

This is a 1250 GPM pumper with a 500 mgallon tank. It has a 24 ft. extension ladder. It is housed in station 8 on Huger st. in uptown Charleston. The fire house is known as "The Ghosthouse" because it is inhabited by spirits. The co. was formed in 1910.

 
 
Reserve Ladder 27


1983 Emergency One

Ladder 27 is a 110 ft. Straight stick. It served as Laders 4, 5 and 1. It was originally yellow but was heavilly damaged in a fire at a repair shop. It was being repaired at the time at the shop. It was later repaired at the Emergency One plant and repainted red. It is stored at station 19 in West Ashley.
